In Riding the Nightmare, a woman’s relationship struggles manifest in dreams of a spectral white horse, while Skin Deep follows a woman who sheds her skin like a reptile. And in perhaps the highlight of the collection, ‘Bits and Pieces’, a woman begins to discover the body parts of ex lovers in her bed. Throughout all these stories the same themes and concerns occur; sex, death and gender relations.
