Containing an in-fiction introduction by “Professor James Sutherland” and the title story from the full collection, this short limited edition teaser was sent to readers ahead of the publication of Clarke’s follow-up to her modern classic Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell. The illustrated postcard included with this book invites the reader to “Return to the world of English magic” that was introduced in that earlier novel.
