Classic feminist science fiction, book one of Charnas’s Holdfast Chronicles, which won a retrospective James Tiptree Jr. Award. This mass market paperback was the first publication of this novel, and features wonderful classic cover art by Gene Szafrin, most known for illustrating the covers of Robert Heinlein’s novels. Walk to the End of the World is a post-apocalyptic narrative set in a violent, authoritarian society ruled over by white men.

Very good copy for a paperback. Cover has some slight scratches and the edges and corners are a little worn. Charnas’ signature is accompanied by an error by the author; dated as 1977 and then corrected afterwards to 1978. Page edges are brown which is typical of paperbacks of this age. Very good.
