Published in Copenhagen by Juncker in 1985 to introduce Danish students to American Black women writers, who were at the time practically unknown in Denmark. Black Roses includes selections from 17 writers along with photographs and biographical notes. Poetry and prose are in English with a English-Danish glossary for each selection provided at the back of the book. Includes expected names along with less well known writers.
